It’s Wednesday and you know what that means, it’s time for another Dynamite preview, and this week, it’s the anniversary show! My usual partner-in-crime Professor J.R. is on a much deserved vacation, so I’m flying with Amy Nemmity! One year already of Dynamite. Time flies by when you’re having fun. Hard to believe we’ve watched a company go from rumors of starting to now being on national television for one year. It’s been a fun ride so far and I’m looking forward to many more to come. Let’s take a look at what we got to look forward to tonight. All the championships are on the line!

Kip Sabian & Miro In Action

Kyle: We got Kip Sabian and his best man, Miro in action. Not sure who they will be facing but I’m excited to see these two tag again. Miro teased on Twitter that he would have new gear as well so there’s something else to look forward to. I’m enjoying this team of Kip & Miro and I’m looking forward to seeing what they do together.

Amy: Super excited to see Kip and Miro back in action on AEW Dynamite! I’m not sure where their story is headed, but with wrestling and weddings, there are sure to be some shenanigans thrown into the mix! Looking forward to seeing them in action tonight, and hopefully some more storytelling in regards to Kip and Penelope’s wedding!

FTR vs Best Friends – AEW World Tag Team Championship

Kyle: It’s our first of four title matches tonight as FTR defend against the Best Friends. We’ve seen this feud slowly building over the weeks with FTR doing a fake out on Dynamite and then Best Friends and Orange Cassidy calling FTR “weenies”. I’m looking forward to seeing these two face off. I think it’s going to be a tough fight for FTR but I don’t see them losing here.

Amy: The Best Friends are really on a roll after that legendary Parking Lot Brawl with Santana and Ortiz. I’m sure that the rougher, meaner side of them will come out in this match, putting FTR in a tough position if they want to retain their tag team championship! Still, I do expect FTR to come out strong here, and emerge with a hard fought victory.

Hikaru Shida vs Big Swole – AEW Women’s World Championship

Kyle: This match is one I’m very excited about. I have a feeling this one will be a banger. I’m a big fan of both of these women. Shida has been an excellent champion and Swole has really shown why she is a talent not to be slept on. I wonder if Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. will try and do anything here? As much as I would love to see Swole as champion, I got Shida retaining here.

Amy: Swole! Swole! Swole! I am SO excited for this match! I’ve been watching Swole on Dark and Dynamite, and ever since last year, I’ve been convinced she was going to eventually go after the AEW Women’s World Championship. While I foresee Hikaru Shida retaining and keeping the title, this is going to be an absolute banger of a match, and Swole is going to make Shida work to keep that title. That said, this will not be the last time we will see Swole in this position. Hopefully next time, we’ll see her reign supreme!

Cody vs Orange Cassidy – TNT Championship

Kyle: Cody defeated Mr. Brodie Lee (JOIN THE DARK ORDER) in a grueling dog collar match to win back his TNT Championship and soon after, OC came out and Cody and him seemingly agreed to this match with a thumbs up. It’s going to be interesting to see if Cody will take OC seriously here. I’m going with Orange Cassidy defeating Cody here and becoming the new TNT Champion. I have this theory that Cody will lose and turn full heel afterwards so we will see what happens.

Amy: There is no way, that after beating Mr. Brodie Lee in that crazy, brutal, incredible Dog Collar Match, we will see Cody Rhodes lose that championship so soon. While Orange Cassidy is on a great run, fresh off a Mimosa Mayhem win over Jericho, and turning the tide to victory in the Parking Lot Brawl, this is still Cody’s time to shine. Really excited to see how they play the cards in this match to keep things fresh and intriguing with Cody and OC!

Jon Moxley vs Lance Archer – AEW World Championship

Kyle: Lance Archer earned this title shot by winning the Casino Battle Royale at All Out last month so now we get Mox vs The Murderhawk Monster. These two had a hellacious match in NJPW at Wrestle Kingdom 14 so I’m excited to see them face off again. The promo that Mox did last week and that promo package on Monday’s Road To episode has me even more hyped than I already was for this. This is going to be one hell of a battle between two of the best. I got Mox retaining here. I know everyone expects Archer to win but I don’t see Mox dropping the championship to anyone but Kenny Omega down the road.

Amy: Any fan of NJPW knows exactly how brutal these two men can get in a wrestling ring. At NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom, there were tables, chairs, and plenty of blood shed between these two, and in AEW, things can only ramp up from there. With Jake the Snake Roberts at his back, Archer has evolved quite a bit since this January. At the same time, this year has hardened the resolve of both the Murderhawk and Jon Moxley. I don’t see Moxley losing to Archer here, but it’s going to take every bit of strength and ingenuity he has to keep that AEW World Championship. Everybody dies, but we’re going to have to wait and see just who is left standing when all is said and done.

And there you have it. Our thoughts and predictions for tonight’s Dynamite match card. It looks like we in for an amazing night and I can’t wait to see what happens as we start to build towards Full Gear next month.
