If there’s one thing All Elite Wrestling fans have learned about Hangman Adam Page, it’s that his time away from the ring is often just as chaotic and fun as his time in it. After a string of incredibly violent and psychologically draining feuds, Page has been off television, leaving fans wondering when the Anxious Millennial Cowboy will ride again.
We finally got an update this week, though it came in the most delightfully bizarre way possible: through a talking Spigelia plant.

Found within the undergrowth of a new video promoting the Five Star Booker game, Page remains completely entirely off-camera, opting instead to use a Spigelia (Indian Pink) as a makeshift puppet to deliver his message. Operating the foliage from just out of frame, Page’s new botanical spokesperson had some interesting news for fans.
“Hi, I’m Spigelia, Indian Pink, and congratu-f’king-lations because you’ve selected my Plant Daddy, Hangman Adam Page, to play in Five Star Booker,” the plant gruffly announced.
But it was the next line that caught the attention of fans keeping track of AEW’s active roster.
“The bad news is he’s not medically cleared to compete,” the plant continued. “But the good news for you is this is fake, not real. Doesn’t matter. So whatever. Have at it. Have fun. Press your buttons. Play your game.“
Hangman Page was last seen at the AEW Revolution PPV on March 20, 2026, fighting MJF for the AEW Men’s World Championship in his marquee Texas Deathmatch stipulation match. After a brutal, intense bout, MJF emerged victorious, viciously choking Hangman Page out with a chain, as he was left dangling over the ring ropes.
While the “not medically cleared” line is likely a nod to this last appearance, and his kayfabe status keeping him off Dynamite and Collision, the real story for eagle eared fans came at the very end of the video.
After the plant abruptly declares, “I don’t need any water, I’ll be fine.“, the gruff plant voice disappears, and Hangman Page, still off camera, seems to check in with whoever is behind the camera to make sure his hiding spot was secure.
“All right. Is that good? You can’t see me,” Page asks. “You can’t tell if I shaved my head, right? Okay, cool.“
Then, the video abruptly ends.
Wait, what?!
Did Hangman shave his head?!

Page has sported his signature long hair for his entire AEW run. Whether this is a legitimate tease for a shocking new look upon his eventual return, or just Page expertly trolling the internet while showing off his green thumb, remains to be seen.
Either way, it’s a delightfully fun update that both acknowledges his absence, and dangles a treat of anticipation for his return. Will he belt buckle strut his way to the ring with his trademark locks? Or will AEW fans find themselves reckoning with the redemption of unhinged cowboy shit?
Until he’s officially cleared to return to the ring, it seems we’ll just have to keep checking the garden, and the pink Spigelia, for updates. Perhaps the happy little bees may have some insight as well.
